HDR photography (High Dynamic Range) is a form of a photography that involves taking multiple frames at different exposures--one under-exposed, one over-exposed, and one correctly exposed--and merging them in post-processing. This style of photography creates an effect that attempts to emulate the amount of dynamic range that our eyes can see. It's important to not overdo this effect, otherwise it will look really cheesy. But if you do it right, you'll be able to create a lot of really artistic looking photos!
