Photography 1 Class Reflection

      This semester, I had the opportunity to be in Derek's photography class. At the start of the class, I was so excited to learn more about photography and hold the camera for the first time. Derek does a really good job at explaining everything in detail, while still being really funny and able to make everything fun. He's also really funny and says stupid stuff, which seem a little rude at times, but we all know he's joking. The homework that's given to us isn't very hard, and the assignments are a lot of fun, but I wish we would've had more opportunities to shoot and explore with the camera. Eventually, I got to borrow one of the cameras. It was awesome having my own camera and taking pictures anywhere, but I also wanted to borrow a tripod and use a 200mm zoom lens. We went to Old Sacramento for our field trip and it was tons of fun. I hope that we can have more field trips next time. I didn't like that I wasn't able to edit any of my pictures in Adobe Lightroom. My favorite part about this class was being able to explore a hobby that I never knew I would enjoy so much, and I can't wait to take photo 2 next semester!
